Image Recovery and Secure Delete Freeware for CF Cards

For anyone who accidentally deleted the images from their CF Cards, the following freeware may help

Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery

Simple and excellent interface. Everyone should know how to use.
I do have try it to recover some of the deleted files on my CF. It works well with JPEGs, CRW & CR2, but how about Nikon RAW?? Any brothers know?

Apart from recovery, you may sometimes need to wipe out the CF(e.g. lend the CF to your friends, sell it out, etc.) The following tool may help in this regard

SDelete from Sysinternal
http://www.sysinternals.com/Files/SDelete.zip

Usage:
For erasing image files:
sdelete -s x:\*.*

For wiping out the free space of the CF:
sdelete -z x:
where x: means the drive letter of your CF Card Reader

z-a 可以 recovery nikon nef, 但 ext 會变咗 tiff, rename 番就 ok :modlaugh:

Maybe my information is misleading...The two freeware I mentioned not only work well with CF Cards but also other types of mass storage devices such as Harddisk, SD, MS, etc.

Furthermore, It is essential to wipe out the free space before disposal of your storage devices. You never know how the next person will treat your sensitive data. However, the procedure of wiping out the free space is indeed very slow...... :question1:
