thanks for your advice before , i m now using the bluray player decode and use 8x rca to my krell pre amp , n i m satisfy with the result compare to my new hd amp ,the sound quality was amazing . and as you said the bass control was like more db sent to the woofer , a lot faster . can i ask you which rca interconnect are u using? because i think my system was a little dark on the high notes part. thanks a lot .

Congratulations to your achievement of satisfactory audio results using RCA Analog Connections.

Depending on the Analog Output Quality of your blu-ray player, it can out-perform the HDMI output to AV amp for HD decoding.



For the RCA Analog cable, I used in the past the Hisago PC-OCC.

Now, I changed them to Wireworld Equinox RCA (Pioneer BDP-09 --> Lexicon MC-12B V5 EQ) Silver Plated OFC.

I find the audio quality improved when using Equinox Interconnect.

Hence, all my output signal cables from Lexicon to power amp and speakers have also been changed to Wireworld Equinox XLR as well.



Pioneer BDP-09 --> 5.1 RCA --> Lexicon MC-12B




Lexicon MC-12B --> 7.2 XLR --> Power Amp & Active Speakers


I use 7 nos. Wireworld Equinox for Speakers Interconnects while Wireworld Oasis for Subwoofers.

thanks for your fast reply ,i m really glad that the krell was like "wake up" again . i have no longer use my yamaha 3800 as pre amp , i connect denon 3800 directly to krell 7.1 analog input(u told me this is better ) ,can i ask you how much the 7 rca cost around(is it good for high or bass?) ? you mean u directly connect the woofer cable from the bluray player? or conect it to the pre amp first ? how about the crossover setting , u use the crossover inside bluray player or pre amp ? which one is better ?

i did compare to the new hd amp cary 11a in my friends house ,i won't say better but i think the sound quality won't lose to cary by this way of connection , for my own system ,it have even better detail compare to bistream to my yamaha 3800 , the only trouble was find 7 x rca suit my system .thats the hardest part for me .

Please refer to the schematic of my AV setup:

I use 5.1 analog input from Pioneer BDP-09FD to Lexicon MC-12B.

I have set all the crossover inside blu-ray player BDP-09FD to by-pass.

The Lexicon MC-12B will do the Bass Management and send signals to both speakers and subwoofers.

Since all my speakers and subwoofers are certified to THX pm3, I just use the 80Hz THX settings for crossover.

If you are not using LFE connection, there is no need to add the 10dB for the subwoofer.



I do not have any problem as the Lexicon has both Subwoofer L/R and LFE output connections.

It will adjust the output accordingly for normal subwoofer channels and LFE.



If you have just one subwoofer, just connect it to either Subwoofer L or R mono output.

If you have two subwoofers, you can connect to both Subwoofer L and R.

If you have three subwoofers, you can connect to Subwoofer L, Subwoofer R and LFE.

看電影時，盟主Avalon Ascendant II 聲箱要穿黑衣，Mark Levinson No.32 要蓋上黑布，共同暫時隱藏，讓負責影院的朋友發揮



看投影時，前方只有Stewart 110 吋 2.35:1 幕的影像， HiFi 器材的暗紅待機小燈在低部發出餘光默默支持--> Support Musician

未用現時整套 M&K MPS2510P 前，我是用 HiFi 喇叭 Avalon Avatar 作家庭影院左右主聲道

再加上一隻 M&K S150 作中置，另 M&K MX-70 重低音組成

2000年初級影音組合


看電影用投影机放到 Kikuchi 100" 4:3 電幕上 (今年中才更換至全新 92" 16:9 White Matte Advance 幕布)





用了一段時間，發覺 Avalon Avatar 喇叭在看電影時，跟本不及 M&K S150 的表現，且左中右涵接不佳！

後來才再買入 M&K MPS2510P x 3 作 AV 的左中右主聲，再買入 M&K MX-350 重低音

試用 M&K MPS2510P x 2 + MX-350 聽 HiFi， 跟本不及 Avalon Avatar 的表現

故仍要留下Avalon Avatar 用於聽 HiFi 的專職



這樣開始慢慢一步步，走入影音分身家的方向，陷入艱難、痛苦、花錢及費神的崎嶇之路



稍後 Avalon Avatar 喇叭也是被新加入的 Avalon Ascendant II HiFi 喇叭取代



最後才擁有現時的 2 組獨立 HiFi 系統及 AV 系統

(A) HiFi Stereo Set Up 立體聲兩聲道系統 --> HiFi 2 Channel Set UP
Mark Levinson + Krell + Avalon

(B) Home Theatre Set Up 影院多聲道系統 --> Home Theatre Set Up
Marantz + Pioneer + Integra + Lexicon + Parasound + M&K Professional

各自發揮所長，提供各自優秀的職務及最佳表現

也是小弟的理想及目標，兩獨立系統，根本不可替代對方

但它們合力提供最優質的效果給我享受






Kikuchi 幕布更換了不到 2 個月後，再決定買入終極 Stewart LX110SFHSST 110吋 2.35:1 FireHawk SST 電動灰幕
