edmondc 寫:C hings,
After reading so many messages from this and other threads, I still cannot decide if the 4100 or 5100 are good, as quite a lot of c hings said there is a mismatch of video and audio after connverting dvd into the harddisk.
Would you comment more?
I am also using old devices, no BD, no HD DVD, no 1080p.
Many Thanks
Edmond
Hi Edmond
From my personal experience, HTPC is still the best device for playing various video format and demanding files.
Since you can use plenty of the powerful software players to view your HD files.
In addition, you can have freedom to adjust various settings to suit your own needs and match the display.
However, a good HTPC may be a little bit expensive.
Also, it may be complicated for those who only look for simple device for viewing most of the HD.
Honestly, TVIX HD M4100SH is based on a latest hardware decoder of today's technology.
It may not be able to decode future media files or very demanding HD files.
Besides, the present Firmware still has some bugs and need some time to be fixed.
But TVIX will provide latest firmware continuously and you can update regularly when it becomes available.
Anyway, it is still a good media device for playing most of the present and common HD files (although not all).
If you look for simple and relatively cheap device, TVIX M4100SH or M5100SH is worthwhile to be considered.
