i have listened that 350 MKII...it does not disappoint me....it is a good sub actually..

however..personally....the new 350, even x 2, can't give me enough motivation to replace my MX5000......

provided that:
Miro: AVP+POA+350 x 2
My gear: AVP+RDA+MX 5000
Maybe we are using the same pre-amp i.e. AVP therefore the 聲底 is very similar.....however in terms of power+speed+taste....350 cannot out-perform my mx 5000....

i can't compare it with original MK 350 because i have never tasted it before.....but considering the price of new 350, i.e. over 20K per each...i will definitely opt to another option..

1. the physical size of the driver reflects in the size of the sub. of course you can't compare a 18" sub with a 8" sub, they are totally different.

2. 有大細聲; Hz (cross-over freq); 同Phase.... are good features which enable the user to tune the sub based on physical setting. for example the "phase setting" can help to minimize the stationary wave problem.

if you prefer small size sub, personally i will go for velodyne dd series

small and punchy, good ar

if your room can accommodate those grant size sub, SVS is another good choice, only your boss will not kill you

For small size subwoofer, I would suggest SVS SB-12.

One brother that I know get a Velodyne DD10 and I find it is not powerful enough during home visit.

He just changed to SVS PC13-Ultra recently and the performance is upgraded alot.

Velodyne DD10 is a good subwoofer but it is over-priced.

Please note:

The bigger size of woofer or cabinet does not mean it is more powerful.

For example, the performance of some subwoofers with 15" and 18" woofers is not better than those good design subwoofer with 12" woofer.

In theory, the larger the woofer size, the deeper it can go and more powerful due to more air being displaced during movement.

But in actual usage and listening experience, it is not always the case as they are moving more slowly and more distortion due to big sized woofer.

大口徑及長衝程的，確實音量會大，

一般行動卻較緩慢，反應遲鈍，收放較弱，

故重量不重質，取向不同

我比較鍾意密封式十仔，反應快又準
