Can you share the calibrated setting of the JVC HD750? The pictures look good
I have not calibrated the JVC HD750 and just use the factory default values of Cinema2.
I just consulted my friend who is an expert on projector.
From his personal experience, you can just select the Picture Mode:
(1) Cinema2 - 6500K
or
(2) THX
Either of the above will give you reasonably good picture quality already before calibration.
Surely the overall performance can be enhanced with the follow up calibration with your blu-ray player together with your screen.

Cinema1 is 5600K which is preferred in Japan.
However, Cinema2 is 6500K which is supposed to be standard colour reference (temperature) with Gamma B.
In fact, all these preset mode are for easy of use. You can always adjust them to match the standard or fit your personal tastes.
In additional to Cinema1 and Cinema2, there are other modes such as THX, Normal, .......
Besides, there are User1, User2, User3, for you to set various values to fit your players as well as the screen.
For improvements, you may need to try it yourself.
