Hi Raymond, thanks for the advice. I actually contact their GM earlier. My order also include two 2'x4' Mondo Traps (one corner Mondo).
Here is message from him:
"THe first step is to get some bass traps into your room, which will even out the sound of the room. Generally, the best place to put them is in corners (wall/wall or wall/ceiling corners). However, since the geometry of your room is somewhat complex, I recommend a listening test to determine best placement, as described here:
http://realtraps.com/lf-noise.htmBasically, the idea is to play the mp3 file on that page through your system, and walk around your listening room listening for bass buildups. Stick your head into various corners and you'll hear them. The idea is to find out "where the bass lives" in your room. The areas with the biggest bass buildups are the best places for bass traps."
EVERYONE should try to play the MP3 sound track. you will be surprised.
Here is what I planned to get.
- 9x Minitraps 2'x2' (to cover the corner of my backwall)
- 4x Minitraps HF 2 x 2' (mainly to cover the backwall)
- 1 Mondo traps 2 x 4' (two Main corners where bass "live")
- 1 Mondo corner traps 2x 4'
