This is simply misleading.

HSBC is never like that. I have worked at HSBC for many years. Unless you are applying for a marketing position in private banking serving rich people, your address or your family background does not have any bearing on your job application.

This is simply misleading.

HSBC is never like that. I have worked at HSBC for many years. Unless you are applying for a marketing position in private banking serving rich people, your address or your family background does not have any bearing on your job application.

Thank you for your correction. It's years ago and my memory is a bit rusty. I may be wrong about HSBC, but can recall it was the case for the Swire Group MT positions according to, of course hearsay from schoolmates.
