I perfer monopole

especially in HK, relatively not big listening area

Dip/Tri may make the soundstage a bit confused provided that the distance between each surround is too close

Tripole - Firing from 3 Directions

I am wondering on this too as some members said back surround should be Direct firing other than Dipole or Tripole so I have no surround or back surround yet but only the 3 pcs at front
Raymond hing,do u know what is the proper distance for the back surrround to King seat?is it same as front?

From plenty of the feedback from overseas users, they will choose:

(1) Musical Program --> Monopole

(2) Movie --> Dipole (or Tripole <-- exclusive M&K design only)

好多人都話套 7.1 (或 5.1) 如果係同一系列的 speakers, 效果會最好. 但我睇岩果套, side 同 back surround 都係 monopole.

咁如果我將兩對 surround 轉左個 dipole 或 tripole speakers, 要用其他牌子.

咁到底應該犧牲邊樣呢? 要同系列既連貫性, 定要多向反射既好效果呢?

我個廳因為係客飯廳成長形, 所以應該夠大, 可以安置皇帝位響中間, back surround 就響 10尺後既飯廳果面牆, 咁單用 monopole 又係咪會差好多?

呢樣野已經煩左一排, 攪到遲遲都未敢扑鎚買 speakers.

I use omnipole, I've tried monopole and dipole with my listening area (my sofa is stick to the back wall) and found omnipole gives satisfactory performance in such setting
